SKIE Shade is a smart energy-producing solar shade that offers a new dimension in harnessing solar energy by activating building facades, which maximises the full potential of building surfaces to increase self-sufficiency.
The team
Our vision is to create shading solutions that enable people to utilise window facades for harvesting renewable energy, to increase building's self-sufficiency. Today the team consists of a dynamic background from Sustainable Architecture, Environmental Engineering, to EMIL (Energi og Miljø) - electrical power engineering, Industrial design and Software engineering. Based at NTNU Accel in Trondheim and Oslo.
The team is supported by a highly creditable team of mentors that consists of a professor, industry experts to startup facilitators.
